Teaching career.

2016-2023: Michaela Community School

  • Maths Teacher

    • In 2019, I and three colleagues were responsible for the top GCSE maths progress in the whole of England, as ranked by the UK Government (link).

      On average, my students performed 2 grades better than expected (e.g. B —> A*).

  • Head of Year + Pastoral Lead for our frontier cohort (2018-2019).

    • I was responsible for motivating and inspiring an entire year group of over 100 students to achieve their potential. They achieved the 5th best progress in their GCSEs in England (link).

  • Head of Economics (2021-2023)

    • In 2022, my Economics A Level students were nearly three times more likely to get an A* grade than the national average.

  • Head of New Staff (2022-2023)

    • Teaching new teachers how to teach better.
